Photoshop / Affordable Photoshop

Hi everyone, I bumped into this website selling photoshop very cheaply. You get a lifetime licence, no subscription, for just under 20. Have a look and see if its something you would consider buying. Below is the link

Yeah some are sharing their work via tablets or smartphone :)

As for rushing off, well I always thought we had to get out as close to 10pm as possible. :p LOL

Might be nice to have more of those evenings next season 2017-2018 :)

Cheaper for the society :p LOL

Yes a good evening, have you noticed the trend of some members bringing in tablets to show others their work.
Its a shame everybody rushes off at 10pm.
Would be nice to sit around and chew the cud a while longer.

Really enjoyed this evening at the society (03/03/2017)

Great hearing from fellow SPS members talking about what they like to shoot and try to shoot. :)

I alway love hearing from Norman, guy must have a 1000 stories if not more. LOL

10/10 :)

Well that was quite a interesting evening with

David Portwain LRPS

He approach is interesting, 6 or 7 if technically good the his

S.I.L.

Story
Interest
Laugh

Now the last one is not quite good. Because some photography is designed to shock or create discussion.

If you have every seen Don McCullin's US marine with shell shock portrait you can see it does not make you laugh but does make you think and has shock value.

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2010/2/5/1265365620918/Shaped-By-War-Don-McCulli-003.jpg

For me if a image causes emotion response it is working. So it can therefore me technically imperfect if the content is very strong.

Alot of McCullin's work does shock but they are also very well craft images some with technical flaws but work because the contents makes you think.

Anyway onto the 5th and final round LOL

Well we finally got our 3rd round DPI :)

I think it was a good evening for those who entered. :)

I would have liked bit more comment from the judge. But the input we did get was helpful and positive. :)

Right in general the rules seem ok.

But for rule 2(ii)

Don't think wording right, unless I am reading it wrong :p LOL

Well Pauline Martindale was a bit more of a kinder judge than last time to the preliminary LOL

Although I feel she was abit unfair to Chris's Stag shot.

I liked it a lot and it's very nice image. :)

7/10 seemed low for it. It is a image I would have expect on the website.

Now has everyone used their Stanley knives to get their mount edges clean and sharp :p LOL

Thanks for that Paul, maybe it was the hare she saw in the background that lost the marks ;-)
