SONY A9 THE DSLR KILLER? LOL

Anyone read about the new Sony A9?

Now that is a game changing camera.

1st mirrorless camera that can overpower the dSLR.

Zero blackout shooting is one of it key features. Plus advance AF tracking for sports and action.

Andy Westlake of AP has reviewed the camera now

In his viewpoint article in AP 01/07/2017 he feels it does signal the end of the dSLR.

Meaning camera makers will now be pushing toward mirrorless being the chosen design and dSLR fading into niche as other designed have down in the past.

There other reasons, the modern beginners model of dSLR are so powerful they can out perform pro kit from 10 years go. So the dSLR has reached peak of its design.

Clearly most shooters would want the same performance and functionality in a lighter and slightly smaller design.

I can't see shooters wanting lug KGs of kit around if it could be avoided.

So how long before Nikon and Canon wake up and realize there is a threat from Sony? Especially Canon who at this moment are king of sports and other pro shooting.

Canon saw the threat from Nikon with the D800 and responsed. This however is a bit more involved.

Time will tell :)

Interesting times LOL
